Creating A Dynamic, Mixed-Use Downtown

More city living: The URA is introducing more residential housing options within the downtown and city center to bring more people closer to employment, amenities, and recreational activities. Diverse land use: Clarke Quay features a mix of commercial, hotel, and residential uses, with plans to introduce "activity-generating uses" like retail and F&B on ground-level floors to liven up streets and public spaces.

Enhancing connectivity

District 6 offers some of Singapore’s best cultural and entertainment amenities. Residents and visitors enjoy nightlife along Clarke Quay, retail at Funan Mall and Raffles City, and cultural experiences at the National Gallery and Victoria Theatre. Excellent connectivity is provided by City Hall, Clarke Quay, and Bras Basah MRT stations, linking the district seamlessly to the CBD and Orchard Road.
